Tidy Yards

Our Services Are Different

I moved to Morrisville, NC with my wife and dog after a career in the Marine Corps. I provide all services for Tidy Yards to ensure reliable service and high quality work.

Being local and keeping my service area limited to just Morrisville, Cary, and Apex allows me to maintain a much more responsive, “white glove” experience for the people I work with. When you call, you call the business phone in my pocket and you speak with me directly. No call centers or robot prompt menus.

Tidy Yards started because I want to make dog ownership more enjoyable through maintaining outdoor spaces for everyone to enjoy.

My wife and I always loved to garden in our yard, but when we got a dog (Beulah) she grew into a big dog with big poops. The yard filled up quickly and with busy careers we ended up spending time we’d like to garden or entertain, picking up dog poop. Even after picking up the poop, the smell would linger.

I realized that other people with busy lives likely had the same issue so I decided to offer a service for picking up dog poop. I learned along the way how to disinfect the yard which eliminated bad smells. This has expanded into other services people have asked for such as debris pickup, leaf pickup, and outdoor equipment (playgrounds, benches, etc.) sanitation.

FAQs

Will Tidy Yards clean the entire yard?

Tidy Yards will clean any areas of your property that have dog waste issues, including front, back, and side yards, flower beds, dog runs, etc. We also pick up debris in the yards as needed.

Do you provide dog waste removal services all year around?

Yes! Tidy Yards provides dog waste removal services year-round at all of our locations. Even in the winter, we will still show up to provide services. In locations with snow, most of the waste that accumulates is still scoopable.

How do you ensure the safety of my dogs?

The safety of our clients and their dogs is a top priority at Tidy Yards. To ensure all dogs are safe, we clean all our equipment and shoes between each yard with a kennel-grade disinfectant to prevent the spread of germs. We also take gate pictures when we are done cleaning so you know your pets won’t get out of the yard, and we ensure all our employees are background checked.

Do I have to sign a contract with Tidy Yards?

No contracts! You can start, pause, and cancel your subscription at any time by updating your customer portal or calling our office.

How much does it cost to hire a yard sanitation service?

Tidy Yards has service plans starting as low as $13 per week. However, pricing is based on the size of the yard, service frequency, and number of dogs. Most of our clients end up paying between $15 and $26 per week.

Can you clean with my dog in the yard?

Yes, we love cleaning with dogs! We simply ask that if your dog has shown signs of aggression, you leave them inside during your cleaning. Ensuring the safety of our team is a top priority. If your dog is aggressive towards our team, you will be asked to put them inside or be completely removed from our route.

Do you schedule specific times?

No, we don’t provide arrival times for our pooper scooper services. While we will do our best to accommodate your schedule, we optimize our routes for drive time at midnight the day before services are completed to help keep costs low.

Can I request a Specific Cleanup Day?

Yes, you can request a specific cleanup day. Not every cleanup day will be available in your area, but because of our size, we can generally offer 2-3 options to best fit your schedule.

How do you dispose of the pet waste after cleanup?

Proper disposal is essential to environmental safety as dog poop is considered a hazardous material. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other environmental organizations have identified that pet waste, if left uncollected or disposed of improperly will contaminate natural water sources. There are two methods we use for disposal, depending on your service plan. We can double bag the waste and place it in each customer’s trash can or neatly on the side of their house. Or, we will take the waste off your property and properly dispose of it with Waste Management.
